Schwab is NOT price competitive.

Since leaving Schwab and opening a LOMBARD account I have learned
what a true discount broker is. Schwab rates are terrible in
comparison with LOMBARD.

The Lombard web site is excellent. Their phone service is also very good. Lombard was rated #1 among the deep deep discount brokers in
some publication about 6 months ago. I'm very glad I made the
change.

Schwab was good but lombard is better and MUCH MUCH MUCH less
expensive. The e schwab discount is a poor excuse for a discount.
My Schwab office in BOISE Idaho was very helpful while I was a
customer. They told me if I traded with E schwab that this discounted
service did not cover the use of their personal service.

The e schwab discount was not motivating. It was still way higher
than LOMBARD.

If you have been a Schwab customer and now feel that you are capable
of making your own investment decisions; Get a deep deep discount
broker with an excellent web site.

I dont work for LOMBARD. I feel comfortable recommending them.
Friends recommend service providers to each other when they find
an excellent one.
