I consider your statement to be just plain dumb. Don you are spouting slogans as rationale Being part of an index has the advantage of some part of the demand for a stock. But being in an index is just based on someone's arbitrary decision and does not really have any import on what the company really is. I call your S&P rationale as biased stupidity. You say few ever return. Well how many have dropped and how many have returned or not. Few ever return....????
