Notice to Slackers, Any You Know Who You Are!

It has come to my attention that some of you progressive types, leftists, or otherwise liberal intelligentsia types may not be completely saturated with views, opinions and banterings concerning the matters of current interest regarding the aftermath of 9-11. Fear not, you are in luck. I've found a compilation of some of the most popular items available on the subject, and I mean to present this to you, and get back to you after a short hiatus in order to adjust my optometrics for a heavier burden of proof or consequences.

Herewith your assignment:

A personal note, my campaign has proven to be a bust. By popular vote, I'm to be renamed Whomee? This isn't sitting very well, because I've collected not a single shekel of skim, not a bare boliviano of bribes, not a pula of pull, nor a pound of payola, not a renminbi of remuneration and certainly not a guilder of grease. In short, this thread is moribund as a source of my further career as a slimebucket. So, I hereby renounce all claims I've made to being a candidate. I'm gonna take up arms and go the warlord route. It seems much more certain of success. Thank you for your cooperation in my test of democracy. It's either enduring, obdurate, obstinate or obtuse. But whatever it is, it ain't for the faint-hearted.

I'm reminded of Richard Nixon's famous line, am I a crook?

Whomee?
