Thanks for the reply. I use both WOW and Omega SuperCharts for these indicators. My understanding of the CCI is that it is merely an index that measures price exclusions from the mean price of a security as compared to the security's avg mean price over a given time period.
I simply display this indicator as well as the others over two different time periods (both 1 year and 4 years) to see how accurate a particular reading has been. Both WOW and SuperCharts have system tests and an expert analysis tool that you can run on a security. Lots of different opinions from the experts on many of these indicators so I often look at the accuracy of a particular indicator over time when compared to the evaluated security.
One of my favorite indicators is perhaps the simplest - the simple moving avg crossover. It seems to be at least as accurate as many of the complicated indicators.
