Classic example of how the media gets it ass backward during war is going on right now.
The Taliban kill their own people, stoning them, starving them, not educating them.
Then, as we bomb them in retaliation for an act they apparently sanctioned, they complain how we are killing their "civilians" AND THE MEDIA JUMPS ALL OVER IT!!!
Ok, it's fine for the Taliban to kill civilians, but when the US does it, inadvertantly I might add, in retaliation to a military act....the US is the BAD GUY? How does the media do the logic in that?
In addition, Bush and Rumsfeld have been clear that this military campaign would be long, drawn out, and painful. After 3 weeks, the media is complaining of stalemate. I guess journalists became military experts overnight. |
