Friday November 2, 10:30 am Eastern Time Press Release SOURCE: MSU Devices Inc. MSU Devices Announces Marketing Agreement with EarthLink PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 2001--MSU Devices Inc. (OTCBB:MUCP - news) announced today that it has entered into a marketing agreement with Atlanta-based EarthLink (NASDAQ: ELNK - news), one of the world's largest Internet service providers. Under the terms of the agreement, MSU Devices and EarthLink will work together to offer a low-cost solution for consumers and business users interested in accessing the Internet and sending and receiving email. MSU Devices will offer EarthLink's Internet access services on all shipments of its V5 product in the United States and Canada. Optimizing their relative marketing strengths and synergies, both companies also will work together to explore and pursue new channels of sales for the V5.
Mr. Don Norris, Director of OEM Sales for EarthLink, said, ``With EarthLink's relentless focus on providing the best Internet experience possible through a variety of devices and access platforms, the addition of our award-winning service on MSU Devices' new V5 product will provide an attractive offering for both consumers and business users. The V5 has the capability of performing basic applications like word processing and spreadsheets, and it can be programmed to run specific business applications. When combined with EarthLink's ease of use and less commercialized Internet experience, the V5 is a powerful offering that we believe will appeal to a variety of end users.''
``The value of a marketing agreement with EarthLink is tremendous to us,'' said Ray Dittrich, Vice President of Sales & Market Development for MSU. Mr. Dittrich went on to say, ``EarthLink offers both dial-up and high-speed services to a significant customer base. They have analyzed MSU Devices' V5 product platform and they recognize its attractiveness. With thousands of POPs (points of presence) in North America, they are an ideal service provider for MSU to partner with. I look forward to this being a long and mutually profitable relationship.''
