Srexley,

I agree with you on the issue of notifying the public about possible terrorist attacks. At least we will be able to make our own decisions as to how we will or will not change our daily life to avoid the situation . I would rather make that decision myself and not have any gov't official making that decision for me by failing to let me know the facts.......however vague they may be.

Traffic on the Bay Bridge is extremely light this morning. THe Golden Gate Bridge had a much more normal commute, but that may be because there really isn't alot of options other than the GG bridge if you live up in Marin and need to get into the city. All other options would include at least two more bridges, one of which would be the Bay Bridge so it appears that most people who need to use the GOlden Gate bridge just went about their normal commute patterns.

There are many more security personnel on the bridges and in the water underneath.

Your point #2 is interesting and one I also thought of. If we could think of it then I hope that our professionals did as well and have taken steps to protect their sources or cover their tracks somehow.

By the way, there are many from both sides of the political isle that disagree with the GOv's announcement. Some agree and some disagree. I vote on the side of public disclosure.
