It was Showalter that created the D'back franchise- Doing for - D"Backs in 4 years what Cubs and Red Sox have been trying to do for the last 100 years. Most owners (and some GM's eg R'Sox) have not a clue what baseball is all about. They are there on tremendous ego trips. World Series are not won and lost on any one pitch or pitcher. It is won in the winter when the team is assembled and in spring training and not necessarily in the same year. It is a game of inches and on any given day, the worst team in baseball can beat the best team on the planet. I love baseball and this series is the greatest. But, some of these owners and GM's are trying to destroy the game. Mary
