That it is Horowitz explains a lot. He has been on a tear for sometime with an apparent agenda of accusing the American left of whatever extravagant negative adjective he can bring to the table on any given day.

To be sure. Name whatever movement or religion you choose, there is no worse enemy to them than the apostate -- the guy who used to believe.

That being said, in Chomsky's case, I think he deserves what Horowitz is dishing out. Anyone who can possibly equate Clinton's bombing an empty Sudanese factory with the WTC attacks, and not only equate them, but actually say the Sudanese attack was worse, has clearly gone way off the deep end.
