howbout Mitch Williams of Phillies in 1993 ? he gave up Joe Carter's series ending homer Mitch endured death threats the saddest story I know ... (concerning single event ruining a great career) is Billy Buckner in 1986 World Series, his error opened the door for Mets to win World Series against my RedSox I was in Boston at the time talk about the Curse of the Bambino !!! Buckner's career is pure Hall of Fame not gonna happen check his stats, incredibly strong year after year the untold story is he had bad knee injury that game he shouldnt have played, but committed error from lack of stretch range Fox Sports Legends has told the story, fine piece so it isnt really an untold story but for years, it was untold Buckner had to move his family out of Boston area death threats, constant taunting of his children he is now hiding in Idaho / jim
