FWIW, I picked up Norton Personal Firewall 2.5 on eBay for $15 (including shipping) a little over a month ago. It's a release and a half behind, I think, but I'm running Win98SE. I'm on a cable LAN and it picks off Trojan horses all day and night with no visible impact on anything else.

Oh, yeah, I also bought Drive Image 3.0 (again, a few releases back, but it handles FAT32 & Win98SE). Got it for $13 plus shipping, and I sent the company my app for a $15 mail in rebate. If you can live with older stuff, there are some deals out there, but they bid like hell for more current software (usually well below store prices, though). My topper was a Canon scanner for $1.25, plus $6 shipping. Seller couldn't get it to work. I added a $3 cable and it hums.
