One mans "questionable labeling practice" is another mans lie. It is an enormous stretch to call it a lie. For a statement to be a lie it has to be factually untrue and the person making it has to know it is untrue. The name "Athlon XP 1800+" does not make any statement of fact that can be true or false, it's just a name. AMD does make statements about the chip that can be true or false, but 1 - I would say they are true or mostly so, if anything they are conservative statements, and 2 - Those statements are not part of the name. From any reasonable perspective the name is not a lie. You can argue that AMD is lying when they say that an XP 1800+ runs as fast or faster then a P4 1800mhz, but I don't think it would be easy to make a strong case in favor of that idea. Tim
