PCCW Data Center Receives Customers from Collapsed Asia Online Nov 02, 2001 - 11:18:48 HKT Quamnet News Service PCCW Powerbase Data Center Services (HK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Pacific Century Cyberworks Ltd. (0008), and the provisional liquidators of Asia Online (Hong Kong) Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding whereby the provisional liquidators of the recently closed data services company will refer former customers to PCCW Powerbase. PCCW Powerbase provided similar support to former customers of iAsiaWorks (HK) Ltd. when that company ceased operations in July. "The data-center services industry today is going through a turbulent period of consolidation," said PCCW Powerbase president Joseph Ma.
