I can only guess what I meant. Linear trend is a short term trading vehicle which Richard uses and it is very effective in what I saw of it when I studied it about six to nine months ago. However, as with many short term indicators, they cannot within themselves identify the trend of a stock. So the indicator will often tell you to buy when the trend is in a downswing and you will get a losing trade. What can help is an extra formula which forces the trend to be positive such as telling the formula to also make sure that the 13 day moving average is higher than the 34 day moving average. I hope this is clear.
