Amein, thank you to open this tread and I hope that your balanced educational comments will stay so.

My two cents are that the evolvement of the Islam as a religion is following in a strange way that of Christianity.

I think that in Islam counting we are now in the 14th Century, at time which in Christianity was marked by the "Dark Ages" and the Inquisition. During those times, "nonconforming" people were burned to the stick or killed in gruesome ways among cheering citizenry.

In fact it was all about grabbing power and rule over others, collect taxes and the "spoils of war" in the name of GOD. Keeping their population in ignorance and promoting their concocted "religion or believes" was their most potent tool to rule the masses.

One must remember that we are all born equal and what shapes us in what we do as adults has a lot to do with our families we grow into, the education system (or the lack thereof) offered by our country and the society we live in, which further shapes our believes and conceptions of right and wrong.

the only constant in humanity is constant change and evolvement in various directions ........... but many branches reach dead ends and stagnation in their development ............. and those are the "social order" hindering the progress of a diverse humanity.

As King Solomon wrote about 2500 years ago in Ecclesiastes ...............That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered................. "Nothing is changing under the Sun"
