Much to do with everything....and nothing in particular!

The conversations on this thread are wonderfully specific at times regarding the virtues of PAIR, but often lack sufficient commentary on an important (in my sometimes humbled opinion) aspect of ownership.
Said aspect being the high percentage of institutional ownership, and the benefits (and liabilities) therein.....to Wit (Wit, are you listening?) when the market pounds this and other stocks unmercifully today (or not, depending on which anti-logic factors apply) let the meek and woeful shareholders among us remember, it is nothing personal!

The oldsters among us can remember various "shifts" in market sentiment which profoundly impacted their portfolios....in spite of the IMPECCABLE qualities of the companies held. In our headlong (and short of butt) charge to pick a "winner" we might do well to look at "Da Big Picture". Misery may love company, but that company is miserable indeed! A small loss is much better than a big loss....and it is for this reason that I ONCE AGAIN restate my doom and gloom scenario for the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Ninety Seven.

It is not a matter of >IF< the market "corrects" to levels unseen in the last 5 years but >WHEN<. This is why I pulled all of my 401K money out of stocks altogether some months ago and put in a silly little money market fund....I am down to ONE stock now which I have invested a tidy sum on pure SPECULATION as being able to outpace the coming tide of outrageous madness.

Ifaku Mada is buying gold, when Pain Wither speaks, everyone listens!

Enjoy the ride!
