CIMA: The market speaketh. and the analysts spoeaketh. I get a kick out of these guys. I heard the same quotes while stock after stock dropped 50%, 70%, 90%.."The long-term prospects remain excellent"..and that may be true, but the stock drops and drops. "The fundamental story doesn't seem to have changed all that much." Probably not. But the institutions dump the stock. "The fundamental thesis (THESIS? I love that one) appears to be intact." But the stock drops. What I hardly ever read or hear is if the organization's these fellows speak for hold a chunk of the stock(s) they talk about. That's still a dirty little secret on the Street. Nor do they, the analysts, ever mention if they personally own the stock. Another little conflict of interest that's damn near criminal. Twenty analysts could come to my door, quotes and lofty targets in hand, recommendations aglow, and all they'd get from me is a nice smile, a terrific breakfast. But not an order for one share. A chart is all that matters. You CAN fool most of the people most of the time.
