hi guys,
the thing about klic is their apparent monopoly as vendor of choice for ball bonding equip. intel has spent its little brains out going to .13 geometries and its target for next year is toward. .09. the smaller these geometries get the more important ball bonding is and will remain so until new types of bonding packages are invented. so, the message is, relative to chip demand, klic's products will be at the top of the shopping list for all the big fabs. this isn't to say klic's stock is immune to the market, just a little more robust than the others in resisting the pressure. if cisco's story doesn't get a good reception monday, it'll really be instructive to see who in the equip sector stands up longest.

other more tech advanced geeks than myself on the thread are welcome to destroy my thesis. because it's all imvhto.

thanks y'all
larry
