Arafat accepted 3/4 of the settlements in the West Bank. Arafat accepted the idea that most Palestinians would not be granted their right of return. Arafat accepted Israeli control of West Jerusalem, and most of East Jerusalem. He should not have offered any of these items to Israel, but he did.
