Bill-- it would seem the US politicians would have learned that no war can be won with unreasonable rules followed by one side and not the other. It would also seem reasonable to believe they learned to leave the war to the military and do what politicians do best... If you were fighting a civilized society you could play by the rules you like--- they burned their copy of that rule book in the towers.......... like fighting with 1 hand tied behind your back and not using your knife in the other to cut free...
