Using CAS 2 is a tweak - they made a brief reference to being able to adjust the board to an occasional unstable state.

If the board had been unstable under standard settings, that would have been unacceptable and they'd have said so - they always do.

Look at the case of Intel's PIII, which couldn't compile code without corruption even using factory approved settings - Tom's group basically had a fit about it and made it clear that the part was no good.

Your foaming at the mouth over Tom's crew managing to push a board beyond its specs until it has a problem, while you ignore the literally millions of know defective parts shipped by Intel is bizarre.
