Ernie, welcome aboard; we should move up from here

with EA's late day press release and all.
hopefully TDFX will get some additional press
attention before we see any serious profit taking.

I was just wondering what below IPO $11 price would
you expect may occur for a more profitable re-entry?

After watching the stock yesturday, I surmise that the
first 2 million shares of activity were the profit takers
and that the rest of the day was pretty much new investors
that brought the price from 12.50 to 14.375 at the close.

I think these same type of players may bring us up another
point or two today, and the serious profit takers are gone.
But I would agree that once shareholders care more about the
numbers than the well deserved hype, it might be a bumpy ride.

I really doubt Compaq would actually consider this product.
I would of thought a more home/consumer oriented player like
Gateway2000 or even Toshiba would have gone the 3DFX route first.

Thanx for explaining the Voodoo II's basic distinction. I was
wondering if it's also a Single chip, rather than the current Pair of 3DFX chips used currently. I suppose such a well integrated design would have a lot more to do with bringing the cost well below $200 on a finished product.

Again, I would like to re-iterate that while better 3D cards may certainly be on the horizon, 3DFX seems to have a 9 month lead in product, and a 12 month lead in Software support. In this industry Software drives hardware sales, so this distinction is important when considering the possible threat of any and all up and commers.
