After they failed to incite violence in Karachi and Lahore the Mullahs wanted to go upstream to Peshawar the so called hotbed of taleban infested virus in human beings. Hard Crack down on Mullahs continue. Amir Jama’at-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmad was put under house arrest at his home in Peshawar late Saturday night. He was scheduled to address a public meeting in Bajore Agency on Sunday (today).
According to a Press release issued here, Qazi was put under house arrest Saturday midnight by the Peshawar University Police under the orders of Political Agents of Bajore Agency and Malakand Agency.
Meanwhile, Qazi has appealed to the Jama’at workers to hold a peaceful demonstration against the government.
Our Peshawar-based Correspondent adds: The Government of NWFP has under Section 5(1)(a) of the West Pakistan Maintenance of Public Order, 1960 banned the entry of 30 ulema to NWFP for a period of 30 days with immediate effect.
The step has been taken in the larger public interest, said an official handout issued in Peshawar on Saturday.
The ulema whose entry has been banned include Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri r/o Quetta, Maulana Hafiz Hussain Ahmed of Quetta, Maulana Amir Hussain Shah of Okara, Maulana Abdul Ghani of Quetta, Riaz Durrani of Lahore, Maulana Ajmal Khan Lahori of Lahore, Maulana Azam Tariq of Jhang, Maulana Ali Sher Haideri of Sindh, Maulana Khan Mohammad of Mianwali, Prof Ghafoor of Karachi, Abdur Razaq Abid of Larkana, Liaquat Baloch of Lahore, Maulana Muhammad Murad of Sindh, Abdul Majeed Nadeem of Multan, Saleem Saleemi of Sargodha, Syed Munawar Hussain of Karachi, Maulana Jan Mohammad Abbasi of Sindh, Prof Khurshid of Karachi, Mohammad Khan Shirani of Quetta, Mohibur Rehman Inqilabi of Lahore, Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani of Karachi, Malik Ashraf Awan of Lahore, Allama Sajid Mir of Punjab, Dr Israr Ahmed of Lahore, Maulana Masood Azhar of Sindh, Syed Salahuddin of Kashmir and Hafiz Mohammad Saeed of Punjab.
