The discussion on pork started with suggestions that forcing terrorist prisoners to eat pork might make them to "sing" or rat on their organization's plans and on other terrorists still at large. Also, it was thought that dropping bombs smeared with pork products or air-dropping planeloads of pigs on the Taliban and its supporters might help to end the war quickly. The rationale seems to be that as pigs and pork are taboo in Islam, any physical contact with them constitutes such a serious contamination and offence that it precludes a Muslim from entering Paradise and enjoying his 70 dark-eyed virgins! And so it is presumed that the use of pigs/pork would deter many a Muslim from fighting in the war. (That is, why fight and die when Paradise and lovely women will not become rewards in the hereafter because of the inevitable contamination with pigs/pork in the war or Mission against the West?)
