Thanks Amein, I realize it's a tough position I'm putting you in to answer for nut-cases which are using your religion for the wrong purposes. Sorry for that.

Here's what still gets me though...By my estimation nearly 15 million people who are followers of Islam believe the way bin Laden does. That's a lot of people! How could so many people have twisted the words of your sacred document so completely?

In nearly every Muslim country there is a sizable amount of people who basically hate the west, and hate everyone who doesn't believe as they do. And they will kill in order to vent that hatred. Why? What awful thing has the west done to the Muslim nations to deserve death on their children?

As an American westerner, mostly what I see is we send billions of dollars to the middle east to try and help lift them out of poverty. We buy billions of dollars in crude oil every year which goes to the Muslim world, we welcome Muslims into the United States to study and learn at our schools, factories, and institutes of higher learning, and we risked our soldiers lives to assist Kuwaiit and Saudi Arabia remove Saddam Hussein's brutal desire to control the oil reserves. Sure, we've made some mistakes along the way. What nation hasn't? But the overal intention has mostly been honorable. I just don't get it.

If the religious leaders have spoken up and condemned terrorist actions it's been reluctantly at best.
