I've been watching this exchange of thoughts on possible next terrorist attack. May I offer some thoughts? The first thing is that they were able to operate because of our lack of security. We're all over them like stink on dung. We've probably already broken up plans in place by our arrests of over 1000 suspects. Other suspects are being arrested world wide everyday. One criticism of this is that the world needs to face the fact that this is war against mankind. The suspects should be held as prisoners of war, not simple criminals. Example?...Italy letting those suspects go free....Doh! Using a ship wouldn't be very good for nuclear spread. Water is an excellent insulator for radiation. The blast itself will send water in the air bringing down much of the radiation from the blast. The sinking of the ship would make the radioactive material something we can handle underwater. I don't think they would think it prudent to use a ship. This bit on the bridges. It came from a lead from our customs department. So obviously they had caught something and or someone already. The warning was supposed to be quiet and only for law enforcement. So obviously they knew enough that they were trying to catch some people. This was more of an objective than worry that they would succeed. Otherwise they would have made it an open warning. This was broken only by good ole stupid liberal Governor Gray Davis. If we had a bunch of Gray Davis' fighting this war, we would loose. You forget how many terrorist attacks were thwarted before sept. 11th. It was always small news. You also forget how many didn't work out as they planned. Even Sept. 11th didn't work out as they planned. Now we are much more on top of this whole thing? I think it is much much more difficult for them to operate now. We need to keep applying and increasing pressure on these Destroyers. BirdDog
