I cannot fathom what a small-businessman must go through. It must be a nightmare. I just had to pay $600 to the state because I screwed up my '97 state return ... put down the figure from line 37 instead of line 27. About $250 of that $600 was interest/penalties.

I am a small business owner, and I would not consider managing my taxes alone. We employ the services of an accounting firm out of necessity, and I would highly recommend all small business do the same. We are not capable of deciphering tax code.
