Yeah, well, quantity is not better than quality, which is why I'm not drawn to those threads. I think we know what they think of the "liberal agenda", whatever that might be. I don't pull my political philosophy out of a cereal box. I'd like to believe that the principles I hold, I hold because I've considered them deeply and am not reacting to changes from some baseline.

Flights of nostalgia for the 50's is only good if you are a certain kind of person. It is not inclusive and because the changes of America have changed the face of America, any set of values that expects newcomers to become stand-ins in the Norman Rockwell tableau are just not likely to produce the results that we want.
