Dave, economic data will get uglier in the months ahead. What's the Fed to do then? Unemployment jumped to 5.4% last month but will likely grow to 6.5 to 7% next Spring. It surged as high as 7.8% in 92 following the 90-91 recession. Fed fund rate is already lowest in 40 years, there's not much room for maneuver. Another cut is expected on Dec 11 regardless of how much the Fed will cut on Tuesday.

Regards,

Tom
