>"Lobby Investments Etc Inc., whether for War or Welfare, earn massive returns ..."
That's for sure ! How about $100 billion corporate benefits for a few million campaign dollars. That's better-than 10,000:1, a dot-com type ROI, no wonder it's so ably defended by those involved. Of course, those whose pockets are being picked don't quite see the same ROI... In fact, arithmetic being what it is, they see about the reverse of that, sort of a 1:10,000 ROI, which you would think would discourage an ordinary fellow, but our taxpayers gallently seem to keep going for it! That's what makes America great.
>"Conspiracy so easily couched in sinisterism, is sometimes nothing more than a couple of friends "
...if that were true, well, then there'd be no reason not to disclose everything involved, right? I mean, the couple of friends surely aren't going to be protected by the gov't, just to protect some minor deal or other, especially if it's embarassing or crooked.
So, that's a relief. I expect to see disclosure on every gov't dept, esp those intel agencies involved w. the ISI in Pakistan in 1980's, on various questions over the past few decades now, even if it embarasses a few friends, here and there. |
