You don't sound so ignorant to me, so I'm addressing this question to you.

If you click on a link and it says something like "downloading 7 Megs" and you download and look at it, and over months do that with many different links, isn't there clutter someplace on your hard drive you could eliminate for the sake of good housekeeping?

I went to temporary internet files to see if I could find one I had just looked at

(Don't go to it unless you are prepared to feel very bad, it is about September 11, and is painful.)

to try to find it, to help me figure out how to remove these items I just view once, but there was nothing there that looked like it was that link.
