For starters, Jerusalem should be turned into an International City administered by some kind of world body. That city belongs to no-one, it belongs to everyone - although as an atheist I understand you may not feel the same way. It is the perfect location for a Grand Statement. Just another wacko idea, naive I guess, who on earth or in heaven would go for it.

Nobody in the region; two political entities now absolutely claim Jerusalem as their capital. Neither side is going to yield it to the UN. This idea was a non-starter in 1948, and is a non-starter today.
