It isn't okay to divide up a country by regions of ethnicity. As for buying land, you and I could buy land in the Riviera; that wouldn't allow us to participate in French elections. Ownership is a property matter not a political matter. Okay, now explain to me again what right the US has to keep Texas and California? Since ownership has no political consequences?
