Since Osama bin Laden has apparently issued an improper call for jihad (and in doing so brought disrepute upon Islam) and is also responsible for the deaths og thousands of innocent civilians, why have no Islamic leaders not issued a fatwa calling for his death or a jihad against him and his organization?

There certainly was no hesitation in issue a fatwa for Salman Rushdie's death and all he did was write a book they disliked.
