<< approximated [Pi] as 3 >> Zeev, The following link indicates that the approximation that you refer to in 1 Kings was MUCH closer to 3.14159265... than just 3: yfiles.com Based on the Hebrew alphabet, they argue that the number must be multiplied by a factor of 111/106 or 1.0471698. This results in an approximation for Pi of 3.14150943... ! That is much closer than the 22/7 approximation that got me through school ! <GGG> You "probably" know Hebrew a little better than I do. What do you think of the argument? Thanks - Ken
