Dateline put Estes Rocket Engines inside the filler tanks and remotely ignited the gas tanks to blow up the trucks while a "collision" was in progress.

In prior attempts to simulate the collision/explosion, no such explosions occurred - hence they had to resort to the devious use of Estes Rocket engines to FORCE the trucks to ignite and burst into flame.

Jane Pauly and Stone Philips LIED about this, and when caught, refused to acknowledge that they openly lied and deceived the public.
