Dear Michael, first, I seriously doubt that there are 15 Million Muslims who believe the way Bin Laden does... as for why things are where they are now, I think there is a lot of politics behind that... and politics can be defined as securing one's interests... now, are one's interests always best served doing the honorable thing ? ... why has the world watched Muslims massacred, raped, and brutalized in Bosnia and did nothing for so long...! why has the world watched the massacres in Africa and did nothing... I don't believe for a second that anybody on the face of the earth hates the West per se... ask the Afghanis Pakistanis what they would do for a chance to leave their country to go to work in the west for a better chance at life... it's the politics that give the message that the west does not care about others if it was not in their best interest to... an old Muslim Bosnian woman said one time, it's unfortunate that we don't have oil...otherwise America would have defended us like Kuwait. that is the simple fact Michael. so, when you have someone like Bin Laden who can eloquently quote the Holy Quran to serve his purpose, some lose sight of right and wrong, or simply does not question it and simply try to vent his /her frustration and feelings of helplessness... and that is why I believe that the best way to fight Bin Laden is to debunk what he says and have his followers turn on him... regards amein
