Taliban seeks ICRC help to transfer body of dead alleged American

ISLAMABAD: The Taliban regime in Afghanistan have sought the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in shifting the body of an American who died in Taliban custody to Pakistan, a report stated on Monday.

An ICRC spokesman said that their staffs in Kandahar were trying to verify the identity of the deceased US national to enable a relative or US government official to receive the body. The deceased was arrested on suspicion of espionage.
