Where the edge of the religion meets the State is the
"inflection point" so to speak.

When governments (and clerics) and politicians tell their
listeners who their official enemies are, religion gets dragged in to characterize the enemy as "infidel", "primitive", "brutal".....the list goes on.

"And they have a different religion than we do....and their
priests call them to hate and destroy. We, on the other hand, call everybody to love and sharing......"

"the core of any religion is fanatic"

I don't believe that. However, I believe most religions have their radical fundamentalists who have the characteristics:

-- our view of this Way is the only right way
-- all others are infidels and heretics
-- we have cruel and unusual punishments for such heretics
that we are looking forward to administering

No doubt Islam has its share of such people. In the American scene?--just look at your TV set.

Where are you located? What is the scene there?

Namaste!
