So apply your argument to the server and telecommunications market. Forget disk drives. M$FT isn't in the RAID market and probably never will be. While you're at it, factor in the players in the PC market for enterprise solutions.

Linux itself, clustered or not, isn't ready for prime-time.

You don't get something for nothing. Service is expensive. RAS is just the beginning of the equation.
