That's true, but I feel above 2500 was "bubble" or "air".
so 2500 should have been the 'normal' top (max 2800).
And that was the good time with over 10 years of expansion.

Now we are at the edge of recession or in recession.
I think 50% hair cut is reasonable if we are heading into a recession, which means 1250 to 1400.

Could it go back to old highs if economy gets back to 3%+ GPD growth next year?

IMHO, that will NOT happen at least in next 5 years.
I'm actually projecting minus GDP growth next year...

Six months ago, economist thought we should be ok by the end of this year, then pushed to next spring, and now pushed further down to next summer.
I'm thinking it will take even longer, perhaps good 2 to 3 years....
