Rich1, I think the number of bulls has increased significantly lately but it may be for good reasons. IMHO, the postings may not be a good contrarian indicator--and many are short term traders anyways who don't hold large overnight positions. There is lots happening, including asset allocation changes. A lot of investors/traders are starting the believe the positive commentary coming from many techs, especially the semiconductors.

The news on the 30 year bond last week is a key factor that is probably going to push this market higher In any case, I am also looking for a move on the Nasdaq to approach 2000 near term; have been very lucky to catch the lows.

The one possibility that I am keeping an eye on is the anthrax investigation. With all those agents working on it, one would think they will crack this case soon.
What would happen in the markets if the criminals are arrested? I think the market has a BIG one or two day gain on that news. That is one reason I am still a little reluctant to take profits---I want to sell after they solve the case (and I hopeful they will). That is also a reason for the shorts to be worried

jmho.
