They loaded up their outrigger/canoes and drifted out upon the
running currents between the Islands , that coursed like
rivers in the sea .

From one island to another
following the stars ...part seeker , part child running
away from home , an adventurer opportunist looking
for Shangri la in the sun.

Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
~Twyla Tharp~

And in the morning , 10,000 ,30,000 yrs ago on their tiny
little crafts in the middle of that vast expanse , there
were also the dolphins who playfully helped lead them on .
Till finally to land on Hawaii , the farthest of the
havens from the continents with their discontents.

Is the dog man's best friend ? Funny thing dolphins were
once doglike creatures that returned to the sea ,ancient
cousins to "Bubbles" who played by the oceans and grew
fins and streamlined bodies , and took to roaming and
roaming a field in the waters of the oceans....

Like man they were part seekers , part children running
away from home ...to the sea that was all life's first
home...and funny they were always there faithfully and
playfully even in the sea, to
help us on our own migrations ....

....when you look at Bubbles think of how he might
have been a little porpoise dancing on the waves beside an
outrigger helping men to find their island Shangri La's,
in one of his past lives ...

( I know you like him as the furry little guy he is now )
