(Dow Jones) When Morgan Stanley's Charles Phillips speaks, people listen. On Tuesday, the influential software analyst told clients that computer systems integrators are reporting growth in orders of electronic procurement software for the first time in a while. Although Phillips said it's unclear exactly what the direct impact on Ariba (ARBA) will be, investors and traders took the comments as a reason to drive up shares of the eprocurement software vendor, which like other business-to-business outfits has been challenged by the economic slowdown. Shares recently traded up 12% at $3.70. (RS)
