Tony - Re: "when's the last time somebody got killed in baseball."

In major League Baseball, August 16,1920 - Ray Chapman of the Cleveland Indians got "beaned" at the Polo Grounds.

Those were the days well before batting helmets. Further, it was a rainy day and a mud-stained ball was also attributed to the problem (hard to see).
