COGNICASE Awarded Network Architecture and Internet Connectivity Services Contract From City Of New York Board Of Education
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--NOVEMBER 6, 2001 - 10:59 EST COGNICASE (Nasdaq: "COGI"), a provider of advanced transaction processing solutions and Internet-based applications, was awarded a contract to provide consultative services to enhance and operate the Internet architecture of the New York City Board of Education (NYC BOE). COGNICASE was awarded this contract as part of NYCBOE's Project Connect initiative to interconnect and Web-enable approximately 1,200 schools and 72,000 workstations. The contract is valued at US$2.1 million.
Under the terms of the agreement and in collaboration with New York City's BOE Information Technology group and IBM's Global Services Division, COGNICASE will provide the enterprise architecture and networks consultative and operational expertise to enhance and maintain New York City's BOE frame relay network and NT domain infrastructure.
