The change in acoounting rules comes at the perfect time - the licensing opportunities are limited from this point forward. The silver lining to licensing fees is the increase in royatlies from this point forward. End of LICENSES = beginning of ROYALTIES on a GLOBAL basis. Fortunately, royalties can be realized as up front revenues.

The market always overreacts to QCOM's initial numbers. Cooler heads will recognize this EPS report as the end of the write-offs for QCOM.
