In this article - #reply-16611592 - Chrétien's comments are presented as intended humour ... inappropriate if they were imho, it is no time for joking ... neither is it time for the oil/gas weapon, they simply don't need it badly enough at the moment ... time to put your hand on that tap is when their SUVs are down to a quarter tank, their air conditioners stop running, and they start to whimper

First i would slap thirty per cent duty on all US-sourced goods and services ... and toot sweet, today, cash in front

Should Chrétien or Campbell sell us one inch down the river on this they will never be forgiven ... one hopes they realise that thoroughly ... at the same time however, it wouldn't hurt to find back channels through which to impart the news to whoever controls the Kommerzwaffe that there is a new government in this province, with a stated philosophy very much in free-enterprise tune with the stated ideals of their politicians, and that this bullying from outside is not helping the cause here internally
