AWSJ(11/7) Who's News: BBDO Appoints So To Lead Asian Region From The Asian Wall Street Journal BBDO Worldwide, a global advertising agency network and a part of Omnicom Group, named Raymond So and Tom Kao chairman and deputy chairman for the Asian-Pacific region respectively. Mr. So joins BBDO from Pacific Century CyberWorks, where he was executive vice president of the company's B2C division. Prior to PCCW, he was chairman and chief executive officer of J. Walter Thompson's Northeast Asian operations. Mr. So succeeds in the role of chairman of BBDO Asia Pacific temporarily held by Jean-Michel Goudard, president of BBDO Worldwide's international operations. Mr. Kao was also at PCCW where he was a senior vice president of B2C. Before PCCW, he was president of BBDO China & Hong Kong. Messrs. So and Kao will be based in Taiwan and Hong Kong respectively. The current BBDO Asia Pacific team is led by Peter Wilken, who is expected to return to Europe to take up a new position in the Omnicom network. --- DHL Taps Phil Yang As Taiwan Manager DHL Worldwide Express appointed Phil Yang as general manager for its Taiwan branch office.
