Hi marcos; Re: "What do you think of the US attack on my province?" I'm against it. Of course there's not much I can do about it. It's money for lawyers, mostly. My guess is that after they go through all the motions the US will have to refund the money, but I know that it doesn't help on the way.

One problem the Canadians have is that stiff upper lip thingy. I'd bet only 5% of the US public has any idea what the economy in Canada has been like for the last 10 years. If they know anything at all, it's likely that the Canadian dollar (not called the "loon" down here), is low, so that means they can go up to B.C. for a cheapy vacation.

Re: "my country right or wrong" Actually, the full context of that is a beautiful quote, one that fully expresses my sober and serious patriotism, first spoken as toast, you know the kind before everybody gets drunk:

"Our country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but our country, right or wrong!"

Let me translate this into the Crown Colony equivalent:

"Our royal family! In their (sexual) intercourse with foreign businessmen and other people's wives may they always be hidden from sight; but they're our royal family, right or wrong!"

P.S. Is this thread moderated? I guess I'll find out in a minute.
